Visiting Others

While the Cathedral is a beautiful place, we try to share our message of the love of God in Christ with those who cannot come to us.

Evergreen Commons:
Located across the Hudson River from the Cathedral, Evergreen Commons is a residential facility that meets the needs of the elderly (http://www.evergreen-commons.com/index.php). Each month the Cathedral conducts a Service of Holy Communion for the residents. The service takes place on Sunday afternoon usually at 2:30 p.m. and the Cathedral Calendar shows which Sunday each month is held.

Delmar Place:
Outside the city of Albany, in the suburb of Delmar, Delmar Place (http://www.delmarplace.com/index.cfm) is an assisted living facility where the Cathedral joins in holding monthly services of Holy Communion. The service is a joint service with St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Delmar and is held monthly during the week and you can check the Cathedral Calendar for the dates and times.

If you are interested in assisting at Evergreen Commons or Delmar Place

Private Home Communion & Hospital Visits:
Each week the Dean, the Deacons, our Bishop in Residence and the Cathedral Lay Eucharistic Visitors fan out across the Capital Region visiting people and bring them Holy Communion. It is a privilege to minister to our brothers and sisters who are unable to attend Church. In a typical year over 350 private home communion or hospital visits are made; thus virtually every day of the year a member of the Cathedral is in someone’s home or hospital room witnessing the love of God in Christ.

If you are interested in joining this ministry please contact the Cathedral. info@thecathedralofallsaints.org
